Director - Early Learning and Elementary Education
Raymore-Peculiar School District is seeking a strategic and student-centered Director of Early Learning and Elementary Education to join our leadership team for the 2026–2027 school year. Our ideal candidate is a visionary and relational leader committed to ensuring that every student in our early learning and elementary programs receives a high-quality education in a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment. The Director will provide strategic oversight of early childhood and elementary education programs, supervise and develop building principals, lead instructional improvement efforts, and ensure alignment with district priorities. This leader will collaborate with stakeholders across the district to promote academic excellence, operational effectiveness, and positive school cultures where all students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. The qualified candidate must hold or be eligible for a valid Missouri Administrative Certificate. Experience supervising building administrators and demonstrated success in elementary or early childhood leadership preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic instructional leadership to ensure developmentally appropriate, high-quality teaching and learning across early childhood and elementary programs.
- Supervise, support, and evaluate principals through coaching, feedback, and leadership development.
- Lead district-wide curriculum and instructional initiatives to strengthen student achievement and close learning gaps.
- Analyze student performance data to inform decision-making, guide school improvement efforts, and promote equitable outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with district policies and state and federal regulations.
- Oversee program development and implementation for early learning initiatives, including preschool and kindergarten readiness efforts.
- Collaborate with district departments (e.g., Special Services, Human Resources, Finance, Safety, and Curriculum) to align systems and resources in support of student success.
- Partner with families and community stakeholders to build strong relationships and promote engagement in early learning and elementary education.
- Promote positive school culture, student well-being, and safe learning environments across all elementary campuses.
- Support long-range planning, staffing projections, and succession planning for elementary leadership.
