Chief Financial/Operating Officer
The Francis Howell School District is seeking a Chief Financial/Operating Officer to serve as a part of the Executive Cabinet leadership team. The Chief Financial/Operating Officer will provide strategic vision, leadership and direction for the business and data processing functions to ensure continuous improvement and support to schools. This position will work to establish general accounting procedures, report periodic financial results, and prepare the annual budget. The CFO/COO will supervise the accounting, purchasing and employee benefits functions. Depending on skill, the position may oversee multiple areas including technology, facilities, and food service. The selected candidate will provide district-wide leadership, coordination, accountability, and management to accomplish the district’s mission of being responsible stewards of people, time, and financial resources. Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related area required (Master’s degree in Business Administration preferred)
  • Successful experience working in Missouri school or Governmental finance (minimum five years, required)
  • Experience in leadership roles of increasing responsibility including decision making, management, and long-range planning required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Budgeting and financial reporting knowledge and leadership experience
  • Strategic planning and action plan implementation experience
  • Ability to problem-solve and collaborate with a diverse group of stakeholders including teachers, parents, community members, and administrators
  • Excellent management and supervision skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Proven problem-solving abilities
