Assistant Superintendent

Cameron R-I School District

The Cameron R-I School District is seeking applicants for an Assistant Superintendent position for the 2023-2024 school year. The Assistant Superintendent will lead the district in developing and implementing a curriculum aligned with the Missouri Learning Standards by providing information and serving as a resource to the administrative teams, instructional coaches, and teachers. The individual will serve as the District Testing and Federal Programs Coordinator, District Professional Development chair, and Title IX Compliance officer. 


Candidates seeking the position should be able to monitor the progress of the District's Comprehensive School Improvement Plan and ensure the district and buildings meet MSIP 6 requirements. The individual will oversee data submissions to the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and will monitor the effectiveness of staff by supporting the district's evaluation system.  The individual will work cooperatively with the Superintendent to monitor the implementation of policies, handbooks, procedures, rules, and regulations and will assist with the execution of building and district safety measures. Other duties will include preparing and maintaining program evaluations and reports to the Board of Education, effectively communicating through social and local media, and representing the district in various capacities. 


Administrative certification with eligibility for a Superintendent's certificate, and completion of a minimum of five years of significant educational leadership is required, Doctorate is preferred.  The position is a twelve-month contract and the salary will be commensurate with experience.
