Oologah-Talala Public Schools serves 1,693 students with assistance from 200 dedicated certified and support professionals. The district has four school sites, including a lower elementary, upper elementary, middle school and high school. Oologah-Talala promotes a community and school culture that draws people to live, work and raise their family in the area.

Inspired by a tradition of excellence, Oologah-Talala Public Schools is committed to the shared responsibility of preparing all learners for productive, responsible citizenship in an ever-changing world. OT Mustangs also are encouraged to strive every day to be the best in everything they do.  

The district has a rich history of extracurricular and academic success, including 15 Academic All-Staters, 23 American FFA Degree recipients, 1 Presidential Scholar, 130 Oklahoma Coaches Association All-State athletes, 10 national champions, 30 team championships and 94 individual state champions across various sports program. More than 80% of OT students participate in a sport, club or extracurricular activity.

The district also has a strong fine arts program, including the Stallion Battalion band, which had many members recently named to the Small School All-State Concert and Jazz Band. Oologah High School is an extracurricular innovator, introducing two years ago the unique experience of the drama and wrestling programs coming together for a wrestling dual that includes a one-act play in the middle of the sports action.

Oologah-Talala recently passed a $10 million bond program that upgraded facilities across the district, as well as improved its bus fleet to be one of the newest and highest quality in the region.
