Great Circle provides specialized behavioral health services and programs to individuals who find
themselves in difficult circumstances. Its comprehensive care includes therapeutic day treatment,
residential care, counseling, home and community-based services, and accredited K-12 specialized
education. As a recognized behavioral health care leader, Great Circle’s continuum of care is built on
a trauma-informed care approach and multiple evidence-based practices, along with emphasizing
tailored treatment to each client’s individual needs along their behavioral health journey. Great Circle,
which is a nonprofit organization, currently employs more than 1,400 and serves more than 45,000
children and families each year.
Great Circle works in partnership with school districts in Missouri, Illinois, Indiana and California to provide
specialized education services for students who need additional support. Great Circle is accredited by
the Independent Schools Association of the Central States and approved by Missouri Department of
Elementary and Secondary Education, Illinois Board of Education and more than 20 additional national
and state organizations.
Organizational Structure for the Vice President for Education Services

The Vice President reports to the Chief Program Officer

The Vice President collaborates with other Vice Presidents in the agency

The Vice President leads a team of five site administrators

Each site administrator has one or more buildings with staff and children
Responsibilities of the Vice President for Education Services

Overall administrative leadership for seven campuses: Webster Groves, St. James, Farmington, Independence, Lebanon, Marshall, and Columbia (Webster Groves, St. James, Columbia and Marshall are residential sites)

Supervises compliance with federal and state statutes and with the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) regulations

Strives to expand confidence in the system

Leads the development, design, and implementation of a strategic vision for the division

Implements a reliable network with DESE, area schools, important organizations and other stakeholders

Collaborates with other VPs, staff, and communities

Supervises employment decisions

Develops and manages a budget in excess of $13M
Qualifications for Vice President for Education Services

Experience with Special Needs students and programs

Knowledge of state and federal Special Education compliance regulations

Ability to develop a sustainable network of key constituencies, sending schools, community leadership, Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, and other appropriate organizations

Experience developing strategic vision/planning

Practices a collaborative leadership style

Possesses strong communication skills

Embraces diversity

Competency with budget development and management

Supports the organizational vision

Specialist degree

Possesses, or is eligible for, Missouri DESE Administrative certification

Expected to reside in general St. Louis area
Compensation

Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Salary Range: $125,000-$150,000

Insurance: health, life, disability

401k at 6%

Membership dues as appropriate

Travel – to sites and state and national meeting/conferences
