The Fulton 58 School District is seeking a highly qualified and dynamic individual to fill the Assistant Superintendent position that will support students, faculty, and community of the Fulton 58 School District for the 2020-21 school year. Approximately 2,300 students are enrolled in the district, grades K-12. FPS includes an Early Childhood Center, three elementary schools, a middle school, and a high school. In collaboration with administrators, principals, and educators, the assistant superintendent will provide positive and strategic leadership to inspire, achieve, and maintain a shared mission and vision for learning.

Performance Responsibilities include:

  • Provide leadership in the development and alignment of written curriculum, district programs, and classroom pedagogy for all subject areas and students for which the Fulton Board of Education provides educational services.
  • Develop goals, objectives, and priorities for educational programs that support district-wide goals and initiatives. Work with internal and external stakeholders to establish programs and activities that support the district and school vision, mission, values, and goals.
  • Provide leadership and support to building administrators for daily operations and instructional leadership.
  • Recruit, attract, develop, and retain highly qualified staff.
  • Serve as the Title IX compliance officer and the 504 coordinator.
  • Support the Student Services Director to supervise the district-wide testing program, guidance program, and 504 compliance.
  • Responsible for the management of the Missouri School Improvement Plan (MSIP).
  • Responsible for Core Data/SIS reporting associated with student services and instructional personnel.
  • Assure the performance-based evaluation process is continually updated and implemented.
  • Work in cooperation with staff to develop a school calendar.
  • Assist the superintendent in personnel matters and perform other duties as may be assigned by the superintendent. 

The following desired documented qualifications are sought:

  • Doctorate preferred
  • Minimum of three years of teaching experience
  • Head principalship and district office experience preferred
  • Valid Missouri Superintendent Certificate
  • Background clearance
