Bierbaum Elementary Assistant Principal

2019-2020 School Year


The Mehlville School District is seeking an outstanding leader to complement the District’s leadership team as Elementary Assistant Principal.  This position will be responsible for providing instructional leadership to staff including:  curriculum planning, review and implementation and professional development.  The position is also responsible for building administration and the safety and welfare of both students and staff.  Skills in communication; interpersonal relationships, creative, energetic, positive, problem solving, nurturing and inclusive leadership are essential.



  • Missouri Principal Certification Elementary Education
  • Classroom experience (minimum 3 years)
  • Master’s degree in education with emphasis in education administration
  • Demonstrated leadership in the areas of:

- Instructional excellence

- Student achievement

- Participatory management

- Strong communication skills

- Parental involvement

- Creating a caring school climate

- Technology development

- Strategic planning and school improvement

  • Salary commensurate with experience

Search Timeline

  • Screening Interviews – May 1-May 3
  • Building Level Interviews – Week of May 6
  • Finalist Interviews – Week of May 13
  • Recommendation to the Board for approval – May 16
