The Rockwood School District is seeking an outstanding educator for the position of Coordinator Math 6-12.

  • Communicate with all principals to survey and respond to their concerns regarding the 6-12 mathematics curriculum and instruction. 
  • Organize all in-service workshops and opportunities to enhance professional growth of mathematics teachers in grades 6-12. 
  • Coordinate and supervise all 6-12 curriculum revisions required by the Board of Education on a timely basis. 
  • Supervise 6-12 mathematics textbook adoption across the District. 
  • Serve as a resource person to disseminate appropriate research, instructional methodology, and professional growth opportunities to all 6-12 mathematics teachers in all schools. 



  • Possess a Missouri Teacher's Certificate or be qualified and eligible for certification as mathematics grades 6-12.
  • Master's degree required with depth of preparation in instruction and curriculum development as well as mathematics. 
  • Evidence of successful experience as a teacher with proven experience in instructional improvement and curriculum development; experiences in long-range planning.  Minimum of five years successful teaching experience. 
  • Knowledge of current trends and research which show successful practices and applications for improving the quality of education and that better meet the needs of students. 
  • Possess strong interpersonal communication skills. 
  • Possess effective participatory management skills.
